Tighter sanctions on Iran along with ongoing tensions in the Middle East could potentially affect global liquified petroleum gas (LPG) supply, putting Iranian exports into the danger zone while OPEC+ cuts continue to shorten outflows in the region – according to S&P Global Commodity.
Iran is currently an important player in the LPG industry, exporting 1mn tonnes in March, with April volumes at 600,000 tonnes total, according to data from shipping and S&P, with propane accounting for 400,000 tonnes during the month, and butane 200,000.
