AsianOil: Petronas announces six discoveries offshore Sarawak

Petronas Carigali, a subsidiary of Malaysian state-owned energy company Petronas, announced on 21 July that it has made six oil and gas discoveries in five offshore blocks off the coast of Sarawak.

The company said the discoveries were made in the course of an intensive domestic exploration drilling campaign that began in late 2022. That campaign had also led to a find last year at the Nahara-1 well in Block SK306, which Petronas said is “a significant oil discovery” made by the wholly owned subsidiary during the last decade.
