FSUOGM: China's Wison New Energies to quit Russian projects

In what is being seen as a major blow to the trouble-hit Arctic LNG 2 project, leading Chinese engineering firm Wison New Energies has announced its own withdrawal from all ongoing Russian projects in addition to an indefinite halt to any future business in Russia.

The company revealed the decision in a LinkedIn post on June 21.

The decision will affect Russia's sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 project, led by Novatek, which had planned to construct a gas turbine power station for the LNG facility using equipment from Wison and Harbin Guanghan Gas Turbine Co.

"We appreciate the good relations we have built with our Russian partners in the past and value the work we have done together," Wison said in the LinkedIn post.
