FSUOGM: RDIF, Gazprom to collaborate on domestic LNG development
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and state gas producer Gazprom’s LNG tech unit have agreed to collaborate on investing in small and medium-scale LNG production and infrastructure projects.
The partnership was announced at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) on September 4. Gazprom LNG Technologies, designated as the sole operator for Gazprom’s small-scale LNG projects, is currently implementing a programme to construct over 60 LNG production facilities across various regions of Russia. These efforts are part of a broader push to expand Russian LNG capacity, to boost domestic gas demand, expand domestic energy access and lower fuel costs for transport.
