AsiaElec: Taiwan commissions largest ever renewables project of 272 MW of solar

Vena Energy, the Singapore-based energy firm and one of the wider Asia-Pacific region’s leading installers of renewables projects, late last month announced the completion and commissioning of a 272-MW solar project in western Taiwan.

The E2 Solar Project, Taiwan’s largest such renewables project to date, was also Vena’s first project of this magnitude.

As such, with media from around Taiwan gathered, the milestone for both the company and the country was marked somewhat appropriately on Earth Day, 2023 April 22.

In attendance was the Taiwanese president, Tsai Ing-wen, along with a number of her senior governmental officials, and representatives of Vena Energy.
