FSUOGM: CPC suspends oil loadings from two mooring points

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has suspended oil loadings from two of the three single mooring points (SPMs) at its Black Sea terminal in Russia's Novorossijsk, where most Kazakh oil is loaded for world markets, due to inspections, two sources familiar with the loadings told Reuters.

"CPC suspended loadings from SPM-2 since August 17 due to inspection and SPM-1 has been offline since earlier this month due to the same reason," one of the sources told the news agency. Loadings were reportedly continuing from CPC’s SPM-3.

Nevertheless, CPC loadings have not been affected as the pipeline saw lower than expected supply via CPC amid maintenance works on two major Kazakh oilfields, Tengiz and Kashagan, the sources noted.

CPC has repeatedly suspended loadings from its SPMs throughout 2022 amid maintenance works and inspections.
