GLNG: Peru LNG reports exports down in November

Peru LNG, the operator of a natural gas liquefaction plant and export terminal in Pampa Melchorita, saw export volumes decline month on month in November.

According to Peru’s national oil company (NOC) Perupetro, the Peru LNG consortium loaded four vessels in November, down from four in October. The total volume of LNG loaded last month came to almost 305,772 tonnes. This represented a fall of almost 11.37% on the volume of nearly 344,943 tonnes loaded in the previous month. It is also 15.02% below the figure reported for November 2021, when Peru LNG loaded five cargoes with 359,820 tonnes of LNG.

All of the four cargoes dispatched in November 2022 were destined for the UK, according to Perupetro.

The Peru LNG consortium loaded and delivered a total of 693 cargoes of LNG between its launch in June 2010 and the end of November 2022.

The group operates a complex that includes a 4.45mn tonne per year (tpy) gas liquefaction plant built by Chicago Bridge & Iron Co. (CBI), as well as a marine terminal constructed by a consortium known as CDB. (This group includes Italy’s Saipem, Luxemburg’s Jan de Nul and Brazil’s Odebrecht.)
