Tetracore Energy to launch Ghana's first virtual gas pipeline network

Tetracore Energy Group is set to launch Ghana's first virtual gas pipeline network and compressed natural gas (CNG) mother station before year's end, having secured all necessary licences to supply natural gas through the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) network. 

The company, with a presence in Nigeria, Ghana, and Equatorial Guinea, is expanding its footprint in West Africa to revolutionise access to energy, reports Daily Graphic.

In Ghana, Tetracore's initiatives are poised to reshape the country's energy infrastructure. The launch of the virtual gas pipeline network, along with an advanced CNG mother station, mirrors the company’s achievements in Nigeria, where it recently commissioned a 6.2mn standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscfd) CNG facility and commenced construction of a 10MMscfd small-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) project.

The company stated that the new facility would support Ghana’s efforts to provide a cleaner, cost-effective alternative to traditional fuels, enhancing efficiency and reducing carbon footprints for industries, writes Daily Graphic.

"This aligns perfectly with Ghana's aspirations for sustainable development," the statement reads. Tetracore, a licensed shipper on the WAGP network, is expected to bolster gas supply, contributing to the country's energy security and stability.
