AsiaElec: India’s GAIL inaugurates first 10-MW green hydrogen plant

GAIL (India) Ltd, a natural gas transmission and distribution company, has inaugurated its first green hydrogen plant in Vijaipur in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The facility features a 10-MW proton exchange membrane electrolyser, imported from Canada, designed to produce green hydrogen. The plant is expected to generate approximately 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, achieving a purity level of 99.999%.
