AsiaElec: Western Australia ponders uranium mining restart

A 12-month inquiry by Western Australia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry has revealed that restarting uranium mining in the region could potentially generate up to 9,000 jobs and yield uranium valued at over AUD1bn annually. The inquiry has reportedly urged the state government to do an about-turn on its current uranium mining ban in order to help reap the financial benefits.
