DMEA: Fertiglobe set to supply renewable ammonia to Europe

UAE-based petrochemicals company Fertiglobe has won a contract to supply 397,000 tonnes of renewable ammonia to the European Union by 2033.

Initial supply is expected to begin in 2027 consisting of 19,500 tonnes, with a contract worth a maximum of $432mn. The ammonia itself will be delivered at $1,086 per tonne.

Regarding the deal, CEO of Fertiglobe Ahmed El-Hoshy said: “The award marks a significant milestone for Fertiglobe in advancing sustainable ammonia production and a further critical step towards FID of Egypt Green Hydrogen, expected in H1 2025”.
