Yemen’s Hodeidah oil products terminal was bombed on July 21 by Israeli aircraft in response to a July 19 drone attack conducted by Iran-backed Houthi rebels on Tel Aviv. The attacks mean the Israel-Hamas war has now spread to the Arabian Peninsula for the first time.
Israel targeted oil storage facilities and oil and natural gas export facilities, causing fires that may take numerous days to put out – according to German media outlet DW, who received updates from port officials.
