Iran, Uzbekistan sign petrochemical memorandum

Iran and Uzbekistan have signed a cooperation memorandum in the petrochemical sector, energy news agency Shana reported on September 20.

The National Petrochemical Industries Company of Iran and Uzkimyosanoat of Uzbekistan signed a cooperation memorandum to expand relations between the two countries in the petrochemical field.

Morteza Shahmirzai, Deputy Minister of Oil and CEO of the National Petrochemical Industries Company, and Kujikov Alexandrovich, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzkimyosanoat of Uzbekistan, signed the cooperation memorandum on the sidelines of the fourth day of the 17th Iran Plast International Exhibition.

The memorandum was signed following an agreement between the presidents of the two countries and finalised the areas of cooperation and reviewed the nature of the collaborations, among other contents of this memorandum.
