Oil and gas fields in Western Siberia jointly controlled by Russia’s Gazprom and Germany’s Wintershall Dea could be supplying fuel used in the war in Ukraine.
Russian gas output dips 10% in Q1 2023
Russian gas production dropped in the first quarter by 10% to 180 bcm year on year, and also by a tenth in March. The decline was driven by reduced production by Gazprom, which cut output by 18% to 117 bcm as a result of lower exports to the EU.
